We recently made a really good salad from the recipe in the June issue of Martha Stewart Everyday Food:

The combination of fresh cherries, chicken and goat cheese was perfect for a hot day. I don’t think I’ve ever had fresh cherries in a salad, but this won’t be the last time. The recipe can be found here.
We used lettuce and chives from our garden and part of a log of goat cheese we had on hand. The recipe calls for lowfat sour cream, but I used a combination of regular sour cream and yogurt instead.
hmn, that sounds nice.
I adore goat cheese, Lake Erie Creamery has the best! I am going to copy and paste this recipe.
Ooops, I meant to say that fresh strawberries and blueberries are terrific in summer salads also
