In the month of May we harvested some lettuce and around 5 strawberries. But a lot of growth has been taking place. Nearly all of the seedlings are in except cucumbers and a few straggling peppers. The trellises are also up.

We got a shipment of sweet potato plants this month that I had forgotten that I ordered awhile ago. I made room for them in the garden by adding them where some strawberry plants did not look like they were doing too well.

Soon the first batch of radishes and carrots should be ready. The radishes are looking good, but the carrots are growing more slowly.

These two boxes are on cement and are fairing OK (since the foliage has come in on the trees they’re not getting quite as much sun as before):

This one is on grass and I think is getting a lot more sun.

At this point in some of the squares it is hard to do weeding because I can’t tell which are weeds and which are little seedlings.

yours looks pretty nice–the lettuce is good. Ours is in too, but only 1/2 of what we started from seed worked.

We’ve had pretty good luck with our seeds. The exceptions have been the peppers and cucumbers. We haven’t been able to get some varieties to germinate. I think they need a seedling heat mat or something.

In pic #2, in the box on the third row down and in the third column, I think I see a weed that I pull out ALL the time in my garden.

Are the center of the plant leaves covered with a white powder?

    Anyhow, lettuce looks great!

I have crumby luck with stuff like peppers and cukes and eggplants. I think we just don’t have the right climate.
